At the Finger Lakes Photography Center we have an Epson 2200 archival printer and a large format Epson Pro 7800 printer that can print 24″ wide by dozens of feet long. The 7800 is set up to print on archival matte paper with Epson UltraChrome Ink which is rated at 150+ years archival stability.
“Epson UltraChrome K3TM Ink technology represents a defining moment in the history of ink jet printing. Based on our newest generation of pigment ink, Epson UltraChrome K3 incorporates eight new color pigments, including a new three-level black technology, dramatically raising the bar for professional color and black-and-white prints.
Imagine producing archival prints with amazing color fidelity, gloss level, and scratch resistance, while providing consistently stable colors that significantly outperform lesser ink technologies. Imagine producing professional neutral and toned black-and-white prints with higher density levels and virtually no metamerism or bronzing.
Incorporating our latest 1-inch wide print head, produces almost twice the print performance of our previous model line, while an astonishing resolution up to 2880 x 1440 dpi delivers a level of image quality that even exceeds our previous best.”
At the Finger Lakes Photography Center we often get asked if we rent lenses and cameras. As a consignment shop, we don’t own the equipment so we can’t rent it out, however, we have now teamed up with BorrowLenses to offer you a quick, easy and safe way to rent the equipment you need for that upcoming shoot, the long awaited vacation or simply to evaluate gear before purchasing.
